Kelly Lanning Phipps

Kelly Phipps is a Classically Trained American painter.  She studied Classical Picturemaking at an Atelier in Asheville, NC and also plein air painting with long time friend and fellow artist, Linda Cheek, among many other artists.  Her work includes landscape, still-life and portrait work, all from life.  Her work is included in private collections throughout the United States and has been shown in Museum and Private Gallery venues.  Kelly also has a passion for teaching classical picturemaking methods to fellow artists who aspire to keep the traditions of the Old Masters alive.  Her landscape and still-life work may be seen at Wickwire Fine Art/Folk Art on Main St. in Hendersonville, NC.  Portrait work may be seen by appointment, or at The Portrait Source, an extension office of Portraits, Inc., with offices in Flat Rock, NC; Birmingham, AL and New York, NY.
